Stampin Up card making kits 🎀

For Mothers Day this year I didn’t want to give a typicalBest Mum” or “Happy Mothers Day” card from the local card store, I want to do something personal.

That is when I came across this Watercolour wishes card making kit from Stampin Up.

They are a company that sell many arts and crafts products including kits for different types of occasions to put a personal twist on your regular cards and gifts.

The Watercolour wishes kit includes;

* 20 cards total
* Folded card sizes: 4″ x 4″, 3-1/2″ x 5″, 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
* 12-piece photopolymer stamp set
* 20 card bases
* Die-cut accents
* Cardstock flag stickers
* Night of Navy and Watermelon Wonder Classic Stampin’ Spots
* Washi tape
* Giftable Kraft box
* 50 sequins
* Wood die cuts
* Stampin’ Dimensionals
* Acrylic stamp block

There is a little book included which tells you how to layer various items in the pack and gives you some inspiration on how to set about making the perfect card for your chosen recipient.

As mine was for Mothers Day I thought that this heart card template was very fitting to show my love and appreciation for all my mum does for me.

I then followed this by choosing which “text box” or decoration I found fitting to place on the card. These can be stuck on with the double sided stickers provided to give a raised effect.

Once this was positioned on my card I had a look through the phrases provided to stamp on to my text box I’d just added. These are all lovely heartfelt words and phrases, great for your nearest and dearest for birthdays, valentines day, mothers or fathers day.

Once you’ve chosen your word(s) you simply peel away from the acetate and stick to the stamping block provided and prepare which colour ink (red or blue) you would like to use.

I chose this “Here’s to you” for my mum, accompanied by a couple of hearts to stamp underneath.

With that done I added a few little extras, such as flowers and wooden hearts that were provided in my kit to create a simple but effective card…

I repeated with a few meaningful words on the inside for me to base my own personal hand written words around. And here we have it…

I also made a short video you can watch which shows the kit and it’s contents πŸ™‚
