So this company The Soap House Co. is a really cute, unique little company that hand makes different scented and flavoured soaps and lip balms from all natural oils meaning the majority of their products are allergen free.
When the package arrived I was overwhelmed and excited. I received a box of different items and inside was 3 different soaps individually packed in their own cardboard printed holder and inside neatly wrapped in decorative tissue paper also and the balms also in tissue but in their own little carriable pots neatly labelled with company details and flavour.
So the soaps were as follows;
1 x Lightly Scented Lemon & Lime
1 x Pure & Simple
1 x Lighty Scented Lavendar
All three of these were exactly as described. Not too overpowering but a subtle scent, my personal favourite being the lavender one. It was so calm smelling and was a nice one to use after a long day. The pure and simple one made my skin feel extra clean and fresh (possibly the smell adding to that effect). And the lemon wasn’t as lemony smelling as I thought but it is lightly scented … would be a good one to take away on holiday in my opinion.
Secondly the lip balms ….. These are amazing!! They all look the same colour, texture and packaging but they all have different flavours.
I received 6 of these to try;
* Mixed berry
The lip balms are essential to heal, repair and moisturise your lips as well as protect them from the elements and that they certainly do! They are so nourishing and soft and instantly make your lips feel great. They absorb into the lips after around an hour which I feel personally is really good for a lip balm as they’re usually
rubbed off within 5 minutes. My favourite of the 6 ( and it was an extremely hard choice) mixed berry .. so fruity for a balm.
Please, please give this company a like on facebook and check out their website too!! One of my favourite reviews to date.
So you may not have heard of this treatment but it’s a treatment all the A listers have before a red carpet event or to upkeep youthful looking skin. There are two different types of treatment you can have according to age / skin type or what you expect from your treatment. Its the A-lift by Melanie Gabbitus in Doncaster.
What is it?
It’s basically 2 probe like objects that send electric current to your face to regenerate your cells and stimulate your muscles if your having the lifting session. Don’t panic it doesn’t hurt at all it doesn’t feel like anything other than prodding your skin with your fingertips.
I tried the skin regeneration for fresher looking skin treatment known as the miracle moments express lunchtime lift (30 min) whilst my mum tried the anti aging treatment for the more mature people (although anyone can have it) aka angelic ritual heavenly anti-ageing facial (1 hour).
Mel started by cleansing my face to remove any makeup or blocked pores so she could get deep into the skin. She then added a B5 hydration cream to my skin and then a conductor. This helps the electric current to penetrate further to the cells and muscles and flow easier maximising results.
Once skin is prepped she starts with the two probes working them in different motions. Firstly dragging them over the face in the direction of the lymphs to drain them off. Then with me she did two different cell regeneration motions. The first to activate the cells and get them moving and the second to boost them and their anti ageing effects to keep them stimulated.
Once these are done the serum is wiped off of the skin and face gently washed with water. Then a final moisturiser is applied to keep your skin feeling hydrated.
My skin instantly looked illuminated and had a glow to it whilst feeling fresh and a bit plump. The treatment itself is do relaxing and can easily be slotted in to a busy regime. Whether done as a one off treat or booked in monthly / weekly skin type depending, I would recommend this treatment the effects are long lasting regardless but more prominent if maintained In a course. Especially for the more mature lady as an alternative to going under the knife or needle.
Thank you Mel for letting us try xoxo
